Saved reference library
Sidebar library: save DOIs and insert later.
Saved references is available on Student, PRO, or Platinum when your workspace shows the panel. On /documents, open it from the sidebar: hover References to preview the rail, or click to pin it open (same pattern as Library). It stores sources (typically keyed by DOI and metadata) at the account level so you can insert them from Insert citation → From library in documents where citations are enabled.
Save a source
Use New from… in the references import dialog, then choose the method that matches what you have:
- Paste ID for one DOI/PMID/ISBN/URL
- Paste bibliography for BibTeX/RIS/plain bibliography text
- Import .bib / .ris for bibliography files
- Upload PDFs when available
Import and export
- Download BibTeX / Download RIS exports your saved library for citation tools that support these formats.
- Paste bibliography supports BibTeX/RIS/plain bibliography text and imports recognized entries (limits apply).
- Import BibTeX / RIS adds entries from a
.bib,.ris, or plain-text file. Duplicate DOIs are skipped.
Insert later
Use Insert citation → From library and pick a row, then insert and refresh the bibliography.
Collections and organization
- Use the Collections tab to organize sources into folders.
- Drag a source row and drop it on another collection to move it.
- In collection rows, quick actions are available as icons: Cite, Details, Open PDF, and Remove (trash icon).
- In the Sources tab, each source shows collection badges so you can see where it already belongs.
This library is not the same as the document Library (/library), which lists documents, not citation sources.
