Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. Introduction

Clarami AI is operated by Claramor Software (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect:

  • Full name and username
  • Email address
  • Authentication credentials (password hash; we never store plaintext passwords)
  • OAuth profile data if you sign in with Google (name, email, avatar URL)

Usage data

  • Documents you create and edit (stored encrypted at rest in our database)
  • Writing style preferences you configure
  • AI generation usage (word counts, Workflow selections)
  • Basic analytics: pages visited, feature usage, device type, browser

AI-processed content

Text you submit for AI generation or editing is sent to our AI provider for processing. We do not use your content to train AI models. Content is retained only as long as needed to deliver the service and is not shared with third parties beyond our infrastructure providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Clarami AI service
  • Process AI-assisted writing requests on your behalf
  • Manage your account, subscription, and preferences
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets)
  • Send product updates and notifications (only if you opted in)
  • Monitor usage for abuse prevention and service reliability
  • Improve and develop new features

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, and AI processing (e.g. Supabase, cloud LLM providers) under strict data-processing agreements
  • Authentication providers: Google when you choose OAuth sign-in
  • Legal obligations: when required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. AI processing logs are purged within 90 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Export your documents and data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing
  • Object to certain processing activities

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address listed below.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use a single first-party cookie (__clarami_attr) to remember whether you arrived from a Google Ads campaign so we can attribute your eventual signup or upgrade to that ad. The cookie stores only the click identifier supplied by Google (gclid, gbraid, or wbraid) plus the landing path and timestamp, and expires after 90 days. Analytics cookies, if any, are anonymized.

When you sign up after clicking a Google Ads campaign, we send Google a one-time signal confirming the conversion (the click identifier, a hashed copy of your email for measurement deduplication, and the conversion value). You can opt out via the cookie banner; conversion measurement then runs in Google’s anonymous mode.

9. Children

Clarami AI is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice in the app.
